Christopher Warwick is a highly respected writer and biographer. His books include two best-selling, though distinctly separate, authorized biographies of HRH The Princess Margaret, (Princess Margaret and Princess Margaret : A Life of Contrasts) both of which were written with the Princess's active co-operation; Ella, Princess Saint & Martyr, the widely acclaimed, definitive biography of Grand Duchess Elisabeth Feodorovna of Russia; Two Centuries of Royal Weddings, King George VI & Queen Elizabeth, George and Marina, Duke and Duchess of Kent, Abdication, Queen Mary's Photograph Albums, The Queen Mother: A Special Photographic Celebration, and Debrett's Queen Elizabeth II. Christopher also wrote The Universal Ustinov, the popular, authorized biography of the celebrated actor, writer and raconteur, Sir Peter Ustinov, which was again written with his personal co-operation and that of members of his family, his friends and colleagues. In addition to having acted as a ghost writer, Christopher also undertook a privately commissioned history of the Throckmorton family of Coughton Court, Warwickshire, set in the heart of Shakespeare country.
He is currently working with Taschen on their first lavishly illustrated royal title, Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life and Reign, which is to be published to celebrate Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee in 2012.
In addition to frequent appearances on television news programmes for, among others, the BBC and CTV, Canada's leading national network, with whom he is a regular on-screen contributor to news programmes and news specials, Christopher is regularly asked to appear in television documentaries. His has been an authoritative voice in a great many of them over the years, and to date have included King George & Queen Mary (BBC 2); Britain's Royal Weddings (BBC 1); When Royals Wed (BBC 1); The Real King's Speech (Channel 4); Royals at War (UK TV's Yesterday Channel); The Queen (Channel 4); Snowdon & Margaret: Inside a Royal Marriage (Channel 4); The Queen's Lost Uncle (Channel 4); Death at Eagle's Rock (BBC Scotland), and Timewatch - Princess Margaret (BBC 2).
A former consultant editor of Majesty magazine, to which he remains a contributor, Christopher has also undertaken assignments over the years as publicity writer on a number of film and television productions. He has written widely for the national press, and has taken part in various events as a guest speaker including appearances at the prestigious Windsor Festival and for Cunard aboard the Queen Mary 2.
